Virtruvian Man - Part 1
Here is an original work for your marching band. It was written to be an opener for your show. The opening segment of the work is very rhythmic. The flutes and mallets are playing eighth notes, clarinets and mallets are playing eighth note triplets, and alto saxophones are playing a sixteenth note figure. This is just one example of the syncopation that can be found throughout this work. It will be a nice challenge for any band. The piece has a very mysterious sounding melody that is accompanied by powerful chords and counter-melodies. Give this work a try today! Technical Notes: The bass clarinet, baritone saxophone, B Flat horn/flugelhorn, and electric bass parts are optional. The multiple bass drums part is for four bass drums. Composer(s): This piece was composed by Richard L. Saucedo and Michael McIntosh. Publisher: This piece was published by Hal Leonard Corporation. Series: This piece is part of the series "Hal Leonard Performance Series".
