Something Borrowed, Something Blue
"Something Borrowed, Something Blue" is modeled after the Duke Ellington classic, "Mood Indigo", the signature song from Ellington's band. Your band may never have been exposed to the chords and harmonies that they may be hearing hear for the first time, so expand your student's musical education with a taste of the famous "Big Band" feel!
Product Format: Concert Band
Technical Notes: This piece includes two different versions of the trombone and euphonium parts. If you don't have enough bass instruments (tuba, bass clarinet, baritone saxophone) to make a good sound, the trombone and euphonium can play their alternate "bass" part to help fill in the low end. The mallet percussion part calls for glockenspiel, the percussion 1 part calls for snare drum and bass drum, and the percussion 2 part calls for ride cymbal.
