Estimated Performance Time: 2:40 Technical Notes: The first section of this vibrant march should be played with crisp articulations, with the low brass and woodwinds playing the marching bass line in a marcato style. A modulation leads to the second section, which should have a noble, more sustained feel. The sudden entrance into the third section should provide an effective contrast with a dynamic and accented "dogfight" presentation. The transition that follows should build in intensity as the piece modulates back for a repetition of the first section with an added woodwind countermelody.
