The composition opens with a striking brass fanfare accompanied by woodwind flourishes. A sensitive treatment of the melody from America (My Country, 'Tis Of Thee) follows using haunting vocal colors (cued in F Horns). The nation in turmoil is depicted in an intensely driving and powerful section which evolves marvelously into a full-blown treatment of America with chorus and band. A truly magnificent musical tribute to the heroes of 9/11. Estimated Performance Time: 5:13 Technical Notes: The keyboard percussion part is labeled as mallet percussion and includes bells, chimes, and xylophone. The first percussion part includes snare drum and bass drum. The second percussion part includes crash cymbal, gong, triangle, suspended cymbal, mark tree, toms (3), anvil or brake drum, slapstick, and ratchet.   Please note: 40 of the SATB choral parts are included with your band set purchase.
