This latest work from renowned film and television composer John Cacavas utilizes themes that suggest the excitement of space travel. Like a true sci-fi thriller, the piece uses harmonic triads spaced by the tritone, creating a feeling of mystery. The piece modulates from minor to major with a triumphant and glorious theme signaling the end of a successful journey through outer space. "A Solar Journey" is guaranteed NOT to leave your band lost in space! Estimated Performance Time: 5:15 Technical Notes: The percussion part is labeled "Percussion (Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Crash Cymbals, Suspended Cymbal)". The legato section which begins at measure 41 suggests the concept of space travel, once again utilizing harmonic sequences previously stated.
