Virtruvian Man - Part 3
This is an exciting upbeat closer that will expose your ensemble to 6/8 time. Running eighth notes have the theme throughout the work. Groups of three or six are passed around the ensemble as background to the slower feeling melody. It will be a tough blow for your flute and clarinet players as their fingers will be sore after this work. The brass have some impressive parts throughout the piece as well. All in all, it will be pleasing to your ears and it will have your audience begging for more. It is an effective way to end your show this year! Technical Notes: The bass clarinet, baritone saxophone, B Flat horn/flugelhorn, and electric bass parts are optional. The multiple bass drums part is for four bass drums.
