"Ancient Echoes" is a masterful composition by James L. Hosay that uses ancient Greecian and Persian musical modes to create a contemporarily styled piece of music. The modes of ancient Greece and Persia used a semi-tone scale as opposed to our half-tone chromatic scales, so there is definitely a different feel to this composition. A piece such as this demands that every band member pay strict attention to every note which helps develop their sight-reading skills.
