The ensemble was chosen for this recording by Allen Vizzutti and Jeff Tyzik, both of whom attended the Eastman School of Music. They wanted to perform music where the orchestra parts were as challenging as the solo parts. All of the works on this CD were composed and/or arranged and conducted by Vizzutti or Tyzik.
