A Hymn To New England
Written in 1987 as the accompaniment to New England Time Capsule, an Omnimax travelogue, and recently recorded by the Boston Pops, this three minute concert work has been beautifully adapted for concert band. With true Williams craftmanship, "A Hymn To New England" features brassy fanfares and a rich, sonorous hymn. Technical Notes: The 1st percussion part is marked for snare drum and bass drum. The 2nd percussion part is marked for crash cymbal and suspended cymbal. The bells/chimes part is labeled "mallet percussion" in the score. The synthesizer and organ are optional parts.
