Silver Ribbon Chanteys
This is a great offering by James Curnow. It includes three movements based on the canal folk songs "Down the River", which is moderately fast and spirited, "The Old Skipper", which is slow and expressive, and "Little Sally Waters" which ends the piece in a moderately fast and dance-like manner.

Technical Notes: The string bass part is labeled "double bass" on the score. The mallet percussion part is for xylophone, chimes, bells, and an optional marimba. The 1st percussion part is for medium triangle, ship's bell, bar chimes (mark tree), snare drum, and bass drum. The 2nd percussion part is marked for large triangle, tambourine, sleigh bells, woodblock, field drum, suspended cymbal, and crash cymbal.
